5 placesBaengnyeonsa Temple
Founded in the late Silla period and rebuilt by State Preceptor Wonmyo Yose in 1211, Baengnyeonsa issued the charter of the Baengnyeon Association in 1236 and championed its movement. It became known as a renowned temple and was home to eight state preceptors during Goryeo and eight eminent monks during Joseon.

During his 18-year exile, Dasan Jeong Yak-yong lived here for more than 10 years, taught students, and wrote over 500 books, including Mokminsimseo. The site is closely associated with his work bringing together the practical learning of the late Joseon period.
