Privacy Policy

Dudeoji (dudeoji.com, the "Service") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and related laws, and processes personal information only as far as needed to provide the Service. This English version is a translation for convenience. If it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.

At a glance

• We never ask for a password. You sign in with an email link or your Google account.
• We do not sell or hand over personal information. The only exceptions are cases required by law.
• We use it only where needed. Sign-in, alerts, keeping your saved lists, and improving the Service.
• Leave, and we delete it. When you close your account we hide it right away and delete it permanently after 30 days.

1. Personal information we process

If you use the Service without signing in, we do not receive account information such as your email address. Children under 14 cannot create an account.

2. Why we use it

• Identifying members, signing in, and preventing abuse and excessive requests
• Sending keyword alerts and price alerts
• Providing saved deals, the library, bookshelves and similar features, and syncing them across devices
• Handling inquiries, reports, and requests to exercise your rights
• Analyzing usage statistics and improving the Service
• Telling you about new features and offers, if you agreed to receive marketing messages

3. Retention and deletion

We delete personal information without delay once its purpose is fulfilled. Retention periods are:

Information that the law requires us to keep is stored separately for the required period. Electronic files are deleted in a way that cannot be recovered, and copies in backups are deleted when the backup retention period ends.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not provide or sell your personal information to third parties, except where a law specifically requires it or an investigative authority requests it through the procedure set by law.

5. Processors and processing outside Korea

We use the following companies to run the Service. Each processes only the information needed for its task.

Push notifications are delivered through the push services of your device and browser (such as Apple and Google).

Because these processors are outside Korea, your information is processed abroad. It is sent over encrypted connections while you use the Service and is deleted when the contract ends or the retention period in this policy passes. If you do not want your information processed abroad, you can refuse by closing your account; features that require sign-in will then be unavailable.

6. Cookies and automatic collection

We use cookies for the following purposes.

• Keeping you signed in and remembering settings: sign-in status and settings such as theme, language, and shipping country.
• Usage statistics: with Google Analytics we analyze pages visited, time spent, device and browser information, and approximate location as statistics to improve the Service. We do not use advertising signals.
• Coupang Partners banner: visitors who are not signed in may see a recommendation banner provided by Coupang on some screens. The banner is operated by Coupang, so Coupang may process cookies, device information, and banner view and click records under its own policy. We do not receive the products you view or buy inside the banner. If a purchase is made through the banner, the Service may receive a commission from Coupang. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as staying signed in, may not work if you do. To opt out of usage statistics only, you can use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

7. Your rights and how to use them

• You can ask at any time to see, correct, or delete your personal information or to stop processing it, and you can withdraw consent to marketing messages and alerts.
• You can close your account directly under Close your account at the bottom of this page.
• For other requests, email the privacy officer below. We handle requests without delay after confirming your identity.
• A legal representative or a person you authorize can also make requests on your behalf.

8. Security measures

• All connections are encrypted (TLS).
• Our sign-in methods do not store passwords.
• Access to personal information is limited to the operator, and operational actions are logged.
• Backups are stored encrypted.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy applies from 2026-09-29. When it changes, we post the new version on this page and show a change mark in the menu. You can also read the previous version (in Korean).
